The battery has the official "Made for iPod" and “Works with iPhone” certifications, meaning that this electronic accessory has been designed to connect specifically to iPhone/iPod and has been certified by the developer to meet Apple performance standards.
We tested the SuperPack on both the iPhone 3G and iPod video and it recharged both units without any issues. The high capacity 1800mAH lithium polymer battery technology retains 80% of the capacity even after 500 charge/discharge cycles. Conclusion - Kevin Nakano |

Portable devices have become increasingly powerful and with that comes the need for high capacity batteries integrated into smaller and thinner designs. The latest iPhone 3G as well as many of the earlier portable Apple devices all suffer from limited play time. This has been a common frustration among iPhone users. A company called iPwr offers a solution with their new SuperPack, an external power pack that mates to the iPhone or iPod through the factory connector. The SuperPack has an integrated rechargeable 1800 mAh lithium-polymer battery that more than doubles the operational time of the iPhone 3G. The design offers the best power density and recharging cycle life available for iPhone and iPod users. The SuperPack will charge the iPhone 3G from 0% battery
power to 100% in less than 2.5 hours. The best part is the phone can still be used while the SuperPack is connected, minimizing down time.
The iPWR SuperPack is about the same width as the iPhone, measuring only
2.4” wide, 2.3” long, 0.5” high (62x60x12.9 mm) and weighing only 1.5 ounces (45 grams). The case design is solid and complements the high quality finish found on the iPhone. The SuperPack is available in either black or white to match your Apple fit and finish. The package includes a retractable USB cable that extends from 4-inches to 30-inches, making it convenient for users to store and use for recharging the battery. The SuperPack incorporates advanced electronics with
shut-down capability to protect the hardware. The power switch allows the SuperPack to store a charge up to 12 months
when not being used. 
The iPWR SuperPack has a cover that protects the interfaces when being carried around. It uses a standard mini USB connector to charge the unit, which can be done by simply sliding the power switch on the top of the battery to the “Off” position and connecting the cable to your pc, laptop, or iPhone/iPod USB charger. The battery LED will illuminate RED indicating that charging is in process. The LED light will turn off when the battery is completely charged and may take up to 3 to 6 hours to fully charge a completely drained battery. Recharging you portable device is easy. Slide the power switch to the "ON" position and connect the device to the standard 30-pin connector on the battery pack. The power LED will turn green indicating the battery is active. The iPod or iPhone should display a charging icon on the screen. Once all energy is transferred to the iPod or iPhone, the light will turn off.
